About Me
Where do all these simple vegetarian recipes come from? A professional chef? A culinary genius? No.
My name is Jill. I am just your average vegetarian and I like to eat. I have no training beyond watching Food Network and reading books about cooking and nutrition (unless you want to count those Home Ec classes back in 7th grade!).
I have a day job. I don't have time or energy most days to deal with preparing an elaborate meal. I developed the simple vegetarian recipes on this site so I could enjoy healthy, delicious food without the effort.
I know people who live on frozen dinners, fast food, and/or breakfast cereal. This is unhealthy for omnivores too, but when vegetarians and vegans ignore nutrition, the consequences show up much faster. I decided to share my recipes so others could benefit from them.
I also maintain a website about sustainable living called Daily Granola.
