Vegan Dessert Recipes


Here are my favorite simple vegan recipes for desserts. I try to use mainstream ingredients so you won't have to search ten grocery stores or pay a lot to get vegan specialty ingredients.

Additionally, I provide options for non-vegans - if you're not trying to avoid animal products, then there's no reason to send you back to the store for vegan ingredients if you've got perfectly good non-vegan ones in your fridge already.

Brownie Recipes

Cake Recipes

Low Fat Vegan Carrot Cake

Low fat carrot cake is my favorite dessert. This version, made with carrots, walnuts, whole grains, and applesauce is reasonably healthy (for a dessert, that is).

Oats are a superfood, so I use any excuse to include them in my diet. It's never hard to convince me to have an extra cookie!

Vegan cream cheese frosting sounds like a contradiction in terms, but if you use soy based cream cheese, it comes out just fine. Non-vegans, follow the recipe but use regular cream cheese.

This one took me a few months to perfect, but I think I've nailed it. With the superfoods pumpkin and soy, it makes a guilt-free but tasty dessert. Serve it with homemade whipped cream.
